Episode 83: Maggie Steffens Don’t Be Shy Of Your Dreams

May 7, 2020
Waterpolo star Maggie Steffens is a two-time Olympic Gold medalist and the MVP at both the 2012 and 2016 Games.  In London 2012, her first Olympic Games, Maggie tied the record for most goals in an Olympics with 21.

In addition to the Olympic medals, Maggie has won three World Championship Golds, three NCAA Championship titles while at Stanford, and, in 2017, was named Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches Player of the Year.

Even during shelter in place, Maggie is still actively training and is the Team Captain for the upcoming Tokyo Olympics. In the episode we talk about data in sport, getting ready for Tokyo, training without a pool, expanding exposure of role models, the value of sharing more stories about strong women, sport IQ, and of course, her beloved game of waterpolo.
