Episode 37: Stacia Suttles Motivating Others

This week's guest is Stacia Suttles, aka The Natural. She is from the Bronx, New York and is an amateur boxer on Team USA.  At just five years old, Stacia won a enormous trophy in martial arts, so has a long, decorated history in combat sports.

However, she only started boxing in 2014. A year later, she made it to the finals of the New York Daily News Golden Gloves in the Barclays Center.
At that point she got serious.
She returned to win the Golden Gloves twice in 2016 and 2017. Stacia is also 2016 National golden gloves silver medalist, 2015 Metro Champion, 2016 USA National Champion, and 2017 International gold and bronze medalist.

She is now in full-on prep mode for Tokyo2020 Olympics at 132 pounds. We talk about having an Olympic goal, being relatively new to the sport, coming back from losses, signing with a modeling agency, women in boxing, making weight, motivating others, and more. It was really fun talking to Stacia and I learned a lot about tactics and the importance of jabs so let’s get to it!
